The Supreme Court on Monday said, it would hear the petition from Bollywood producer and Mumbai-blast convict Sameer Hingora seeking permission to go abroad, in July this year.
A bench of Chief Justice K G Balakrishan, Judges Altamas Kabir and J M Panchal said the petition would be heard when the main petition challenging the conviction would come up for hearing.
The Central Bureau of Investigation, the investigating agency, opposed the application, saying that the convict might not return after going abroad.
Hingora's Advocate said, he had property worth Rs 200 million in India and it could be kept as surety.
