The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation on Tuesday proposed to set up a ‘Centre for Sustainable Transport and Urban Planning’ in the City with a contribution of Rs 15 crore from the BMTC and a matching grant from the Centre.
BMTC Managing Director Upendra Tripathy announced this at the inaugural session of the 9th Asia Pacific Assembly of the International Association of Public Transport/Union Internationale des Transports Publics here.
