Protest against water project
Members of Kannada Action Committee on Tuesday staged a protest demanding that the Centre ensure that Tamil Nadu stops implementing the drinking water project at the disputed Hogenakal Falls site. The project is illegal as the Cauvery water sharing dispute between the two states is still pending before the court, the committee said.
Sakrama ‘stir’
The Federation of Konanakunte Residents’ Welfare Associations will hold a public meeting to seek objections to Sakrama scheme in Bangalore and outside. President Nagendra Prasad told reporters the Federation plans to collect five lakh objections to the draft notification of Sakrama from the public.
