Harmonious relationship is requisite between the Commercial tax department and traders who submit taxes to the department, said Commercial tax department South zone Commissioner H R Teganur.

Harmonious relationship is requisite between the Commercial tax department and traders who submit taxes to the department, said Commercial tax department South zone Commissioner H R Teganur.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Commercial tax department advisory committee meeting organised jointly by Kolar district Commerce and Industrial Institution, Commercial tax department of Kolar district and various commercial associations.
After the implementation of VAT from the year 2005, the department has become trader-friendly, he added.
More facilities have to be provided for those who are honest in paying taxes within the said period, he added. They deserve more respect also, he said.
The advisory committee have been formed twenty years ago to bring in harmonious relationship between the department and the traders and he expressed his happiness that the committee has been successful in maintaining good relationship between the two.
Seek solution
Mr Teganur requested the traders to help the commercial tax department reach the goal of recovering  taxes aimed at 19,344 crores from the government. If at all the traders face any problem, they can seek for a solution at the meeting, he stated.
