The cleaning work of the Pushkarani of the famous Vidyashankara theertha Shivalaya at Ganeshapalya is going on in a war footing basis.
The priest of the temple Somappa Dixit has informed regarding the found pieces of inscriptions before two days. It has already been said in the 12th century inscriptions about the Shivalaya and Parvathi temples at  the Shankaratheertha, apart from Lakshminarayanaswamy temple.
Researcher Narasimhan has preserved the pieces in the temple and more pieces related to the temple are expected which can help elicit further information about the temple, it is said.
