Legal workshop held
Kunigal,dhns: In a joint venture, the Taluk Legal Services Association, Advocates Association and the First Grade college held a legal workshop and literacy programme to celebrate women’s day.
The event was inaugurated by Judge Rajashekar.
The Chief guest for the occasion was the principal D Deviramma along with Judge C V Sanath. Advocate Gayathri Raju spoke on Domestic Violence act, Advocate Lalithamma spoke on Dowry Prevention Act along with the others who also addressed varied topics related to the safeguarding of women.
Telephone adalat on March 15
Tumkur, dhns:  Telephone adalat will be held on March 15 at 11 am at the office of BSNL district telecom gerenal manager. Issues relating to telephone connections and irregularities in the bills will be addressed in the adalat.
  Before applying to the adalat, the individual should have tried all other common means of sorting out the issues and this would be a last resort, said a release.
Man reported missing
Kunigal, dhns: The father of a student from Sapthgiri nursing college who was visiting from Tamil Nadu has been reported missing.
Asaithambi (41) is a resident of of Vellur in Tamil Nadu and was in town to visit his daughter Hemalatha.  He came to Kunigal on the 3 of March  to pay the fees for Hemalatha course.He reportedly was to return to Vellur on the same day but there is no news about the same.
A case has been filed and further investigations are on.
