Koppa TP resolves to construct wall

The general meeting of the Town Panchayat held on Monday decided to construct a eight feet high wall next to the highway near the four acre land in Addada village where solid waste is dumped in the panchayat jurisdiction.

 
The meeting held under the presidentship of Town Panchayat President Divakar decided to level the solid waste which has been dumped in a tall heap at the disposal area. It was also decided to withdraw the contact given to Lokesh from Tarikere, who has not completed the works related to construction of a shed for the guard, borewell and road at the disposal site. A water lifting pump with a capacity of 75 HP was sanctioned for the supply of drinking water, was given a nod amidst opposition from JD(S) members K Y Ramesh and Mohammed Gausar. The JD(S) member also raised objection to the desilting of Hirekere and dumping the same in Kesavinakere. 
The meeting discussed the hindrance faced in shifting the Town Panchayat office building to the place near the hospital. The members decided to vacate the ration shop located in the panchayat land after discussing the same with the officials of the association which runs the ration shop, and if necessary take legal steps to realise the end. The members gave he nod to discuss about constructing slaughter houses with modern amenities in the next meeting.
