K Rukhmangadan of Ulsoor had filed a complaint against the BWSSB, claiming that he had been wrongly charged by them for water supply.
But the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum found that the complaint filed by the consumer was false, and he had no means to prove his allegations.
The complainant had an old house with only one floor and got water from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
He then built a second floor using water from the Board for which he was charged on the non-domestic basis till June 1994. But later he was charged on a domestic basis from November 1996.
But he filed his complaint against the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board in 2007, after a lapse of more than 10 years!
The Forum President N Srivathsa Kedilaya ruled: “we do not find any deficiency on the part of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board. In fact the evidence shows that the Board was liberal to the consumer and had written off a portion of its claim. The complainant is not entitled for any relief and his complaint is dismissed.”
