The Kerala High Court on Tuesday raised serious questions about the rule of law in violence-torn Kannur district and said that Central forces were needed to prevent the bloodshed.

Delivering a rude jolt to the LDF Government, the judge even suggested that the Governor should apprise the Centre of the urgent need for permanent “prophylactic” action to curb further bloodshed.
