Lawson disappointed
Karachi, PTI:

Pakistan’s coach Geoff Lawson on Tuesday described Australia’s decision to postpone their cricket tour citing security concerns as unjustified and disappointing.

“I have been living in Pakistan and I feel secure and safe. I am happy here... I can understand the Australians’ concerns but I still feel their decision is not justified,” Lawson said. “It is very disappointing that we don’t get to play the best team in the world at a time when they are beatable. But I am happy the tour has been postponed and not cancelled. A cancellation would have been very damaging for Pakistan cricket,” added Lawson, a former Australian fast bowler.

He said it was now up to the Pakistan and Australian cricket Boards to find a proper window in the near future. “I hope this series is not postponed for long because Pakistan is in dire need of playing international cricket and more Test matches. Our team can’t keep on waiting to play Test cricket.”
