Security has been deployed in the backdrop of the II PUC examinations which will start from March 17, announced Deputy Commissioner Subodh Yadav.
He was speaking at a meeting with the education department officials at the DC’s office. As many as 15 examination centres in the six taluks, out of which five centres have been considered as extremely sensitive, three are sensitive and seven have been identified as normal examination centres, he added.
One head constable, three constables will be deployed in extremely sensitive centres, while one head constable and two constables will be deployed in sensitive centres. One constable will work in normal centres, he explained, while adding that measures have been taken to close the photocopy centres in around examination centres. Also, prohibitory orders will be in as per section 144 around a distance of 200 metres.
Mobiles, Pager and other gadgets are prohibited into the examination centres. A nodal officer has been appointed per taluk. Mobile vigilant squad has been formed led by taluk CEO’s, he said.
SSLC examination
Tight security have also been beefed up for SSLC examination which will be held from March 31 to April 5, said DC Subodh Yadav.
Subdivision officer Dr Arundhati Chandrashekhar, Deputy Director of PU education board Rudramuni, DDPI Bellashetty and others were also present.
