The kids are in school, youngsters are in college, grown ups in office and old ones in temples, dead are in graves - who exactly is living in India? After 61 years of independence, we are still struggling to identify and define independence. Youths have enough time to spend in pubs every weekend but do not have 5 minutes in five years to vote. We get debarred from school for 3-5 years for copying in exam but we get pirated CD, DVDs outside school campus. We know who is the President of the USA but do not know who is the corporator in our area. Terrorism raised its head because we failed to guide the fire in young generation in right manner. Everyone became a doctor or a techie but no one learnt to be a human. Night life cleaned up entertainment in day and night shift stole sleep, health. We were ruled by English for 400 years and our forefathers shed their blood to make us independent but we started working for English companies making them richer day after day. We forgot that in the game of chess after the game is over, the king and the soldier go in to the same box, when the box opens again, a king is a king and a soldier remains a soldier.
