India inks deal to buy six US aircraft  
The Centre on Wednesday has confirmed inking Rs 3,850 crores deal with the USA to buy six transport aircraft from the US major Lockheed Martin for the Indian Air Force.
Airport stir on, but its still smooth sailing  
Day One of the airport employees strike on Wednesday passed off without much inconvenience to passengers or disruption of flights across the country.
Sabharwal case transferred to Nagpur  
The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered for the transfer of the trial of the Professor H S Sabharwal murder case to Nagpur from a court in Madhya Pradesh.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has begun a probe into alleged money laun dering by Dr Amit Kumar, kingpin in the multi-crore rupee kidney transplant racket, and will seek an explanation on the mode of receiving payment from his foreign patients.

The US Consulate General in Chennai has announced that nearly 200 visa applicants claiming to be connected to the South Indian film industry used false credentials to apply for visas to the United States. These individuals now face a lifetime ban on traveling to the US.
