Rahul visit rocks Orissa Assembly
DH News Service, Bhubaneshwar:

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s sudden and unscheduled ‘secret’ night visits to some of the tribal villages during his recent four-day Orissa tour rocked the state assembly for the second day on Wednesday with the opposition Congress legislators demanding an apology from the ruling BJD-BJP members for their personal comments against the scion of the Gandhi family while debating the subject in the house.

Speaker Maheswar Mohanty had to adjourn the house a number of times to restore order. Raising the subject in the house on Tuesday, a day after Rahul left the state after visiting as many as thirteen districts in four days, the treasury bench members had described the young MP from Amethi as a highly irresponsible man.

The issue was once again raised in the house on Wednesday when the Congress, during the zero hour, demanded an apology from the ruling party members for their personal comments against the Congress general secretary. The Speaker had to adjourn the house as the slogan shouting opposition members rushed to the well.
Normalcy was restored only after lunch session.
