Delivering the 7th Annual Convocation address of the Visvesvaraya Technological University here on Wednesday, he said there are myriad issues of concern - ranging from pedagogy to policy.
 Gold medals were presented to toppers of VTU exam conducted in July 2007. The VTU conferred honorary degree of Doctor of Science on Prof  P V Indireshan, Member, Centre of Policy Research, New Delhi and former director of IIT Chennai; and Dr Roddam Narasimha, Chairman, Engineering Mechanics Unit, JNCASR, Bangalore.
