Kannada exam
Karnataka Public Service Commission will conduct compulsory Kannada language examination as prescribed in the rules for candidates who have applied for various posts in response to notification dated November 2, 2007 at Bangalore, Mysore, Dharwad and Gulbarga centers on March 23 on Sunday.
Admission tickets have been already despatched to all candidates who have applied. The details regarding name of the candidates, registration numbers and allotted examination centres are published in commission’s website: http://kpsc.kar.nic.in/home page. Candidates who have not received the admission tickets are requested to download the particulars of admission ticket from website.
Phone-in programme
All India Radio, Bangalore is conducting a live phone-in programme on SSLC examination for the benefit of students appearing for SSLC examination to be held between March 31 and April 5. The programme will be aired between 9.30 pm and 10.30 pm. Commissioner of Public Instruction G Kumar Naik, Secondary Education Examination Board Director D S Rajanna and DSERT director M N Baig will take part in the programme. Child awards
Government of India has invited entries for the national child awards. The award is given to children between the age group of 4 to 15 years for their outstanding achievement in academics, arts, culture and sports. The award consists one gold medal and a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and 35 silver medals (one for each State and Union territory) and a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Application forms can be obtained from the Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department in their respective districts.
The filled in applications should be submitted to the respective Deputy Director of Women and Child Development on or before March 20, 2008.
