Peoples problems

Acute shortage of water

The residents of Khushal Nagar, KG Halli and DJ Halli are facing acute shortage of water supply from the BWSSB department. For the last 15 days, there has been no water in the above mentioned areas and the taps have gone dry. Summer is approaching and the residents, which include the office-goers and school children, are facing problems due to water shortage.

The residents are buying water by paying Rs 3 per pot. Some of us are buying truck of water which costs about Rs 400. We, the residents coming from poor and weaker sections, cannot afford to buy water from outside. We request the water department to supply water to the above mentioned areas regularly.

Mohammed Iiyas,

Need for buses

BMTC buses plying towards Anjananagara on Magadi main road, stop at the vegetable shops near Herohalli Cross and then proceed. No 252/G to KBS from Byadarahalli and back has been halted as the Andhrahalli main road is in a pitiable condition. The halt will continue till the road is repaired. Bus route no 252/G should be made to ply via Andhrahalli, Thigalarapalya, Peenya II stage, Jalahalli cross to KBS and back via the same route since factory workers face lot of problems on this account. One can see 248/G running empty from Sunkadakatte to Peenya II Stage.

At least there should be a mini bus between toll gate and Andhrahalli Circle via Herohalli Cross so that passengers can take the buses to various places at toll gate.

Buses run on time only up to the time of issue of monthly passes and trips. The authority concerned is really sleeping over this issue despite bringing it to their notice several times.

It has to be stated that as and when they raise the bus fare on some pretext, the facility provided automatically goes down.
