Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt moved the Supreme Court seeking permission to travel abroad for a film shoot.
In an application Dutt, has asked for the release of his passport to visit Malaysia, Thailand and United States.
The actor is on bail that was granted by the Apex Court on November 27, 2007. The Court had directed him to surrender his passport and asked him not to leave the country without its permission. Dutt was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment under the Arms Act for possessing weapons without license.
The Bollywood star, who was sentenced in July last year had spent 18 months in jail. The hearing of the petitions of challenging the conviction by the trial court would be heard by the Apex Court in July, 2008.
