Lokayukta Justice N Santhosh Hegde is reported to have said that he will publish his enquiry report on mining scandal only after the last day of polling as he does not want politicians to make the report an election issue.  This does not seem to be fair.  By delaying the report he is helping those who are responsible for the scandal to come to power and also giving them an opportunity to scuttle further action.  The report should be sent to the appropriate authority and Lokayukta should not delay it purposely.  The persons concerned should face the election along with the allegations against them and let them explain to the electorate.  Delaying the report to help them is grave injustice.
