I wish to respond to the news item "bitten by wife, cop seeks cover". It is not a joke and domestic violence is committed by both men and women equally. The officer has done the right thing by approaching the police. If the officer had tried to sort out the matter by hitting his wife, it would amount to domestic violence and the officer would be booked under the DV act and section 498A. So, the media needs to change its attitude of reporting such news a joke. Unfortunately, the DV act does not recognise violence against men.
