Hassan has become the first district in the State to submit constituency delimitation report online to the Election Commission.
While officials of almost all other districts went to Bangalore to prepare delimitation reports, the district administration used the technology to complete the delimitation process.
Preferring not to go to Bangalore,  officials, led by IIT Delhi engineering graduate Deputy Commissioner Anjum Parvez, stayed back in Hassan with laptops in their hands.
They worked continuously for nine days, prepared a systematic and flawless report and submitted it online.
Flaws in reports
From each of the other districts at least 30 to 40 staff stayed in Bangalore and sought all the required details directly from the Office of the Election Commission.
Even then most of the reports were sent back as they had many flaws. 
The officials of the EC have commended the efforts of the district administration of Hassan in being quick and accurate in sending their delimitation report, without going through  hassles of staying in Bangalore and without affecting the day-to-day functioning of the administration.
