Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday denied media reports that former Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna was neglected in the party.
Speaking to media persons, Kharge said it was not true that Krishna had not been invited to the Mysore programme. It is only a ploy of some people to create dissension in the party, he argued.
He said Krishna had been invited to participate in the “Janandolana” programme scheduled to be held at Mysore on March 16 and a letter was sent to Krishna recently asking him to participate in all the programmes of the party.
Kharge on Thursday chaired a preparatory meeting held to welcome AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who is arriving on a five day visit to the State.
