Nanda loves Nandita is another film based on the underworld, which is not only cruel but is inhumane-most of the times.
Ostracised by his family, Nanda (Yogesh), a slum-dweller, heads for underworld at the behest of his friend. Hurt deeply by the prejudices he faced at his house, he takes solace in liquor. But the entry of Nandita (Sneha) adds colour to his life and metamorphoses his behaviour-only to plummet him to the even darker areas of life.
Yogesh famous as Loose Mada from film Duniya is debuting as hero in the movie along with new comer Sneha.
Yogesh is a revelation as a hero. He has not only excelled in acting, dance and action but also mesmerises with his sense of humour. Though he has a strong nasal tone (wonder is it the way he really speaks) he epitomises the character Nanda. Ditto with Sneha who has good acting skills.
Though the story is similar to many movies of its kind with a predictable end, it is the realistic depiction of the life in slum and underworld which strikes the viewers and leaves a deep imprint in the sensitive minds. The song Jinke marina is marvellous but other songs fail to keep up the tempo. Music by Emil is satisfactory.
Director has rightly balanced the movie with the dialogues. The dialogues by Manju Mandvya is worth mentioning as it is not only apt but is also witty, at times and thus lightens the otherwise nefarious plot.
The movie loses pace in the second half as it drags emotions. Some of the action scenes are also violent. The movie also glorifies liquor as a panacea for problems which can send wrong signals to the youngsters. Though not a family entertainer it urges youngsters who are vying crime as an alternative to introspect.
