The BJP has alleged there is a conspiracy by the Congress to postpone elections in the State in the wake of ADGP (Intelligence) sending e-mails on March 4 to all SPs saying drinking water shortage during summer could lead to law and order problem in the State.
Addressing a press conference here, former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, who released a copy of e-mail to the media, said, “A bogus case is being built up to create an impression there is a severe drinking water shortage in the State leading to a law and order proble.” 
Yeddyurappa said the BJP will file a petition in the Supreme Court on March 19 seeking a direction from the apex court that elections be held by May.
