Green Code Walkathon
The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and Civil Defence Wardens are organising a ‘Green Code Walkathon on April 20 to bring about an awareness to keep the city clean. The walkathon that was earlier planned on March 16, has now been postponed to April 20.  However, volunteers from Civil Defence and The Art of Living Foundation will be present on  March 16, at Lalbagh and Vidhana Soudha to receive and register the people who turn up.

New dean of law
Dr T R Subramanya, professor, post-graduate Department of Law and University Law College, Bangalore University, has been appointed Dean, Faculty of Law, for two years.

Elected for Music Academy
Dr Suma Sudhindra has been elected president of the Academy of Music, Chowdiah Memorial Hall. Subbaraj Urs is the secretary and K Prasanna Kumar the treasurer. Prof C N R Rao and Dr C G Krishnadas Nair are members, while Mallikarjuna Kharge is the member, patron-in-chief.

Bonsai classes
A three-day Bonsai creation programme will be organised from March 17 at Dr M H Marigowda Memorial Hall at Lalbagh. Call 26576781 or 98455 16586.
