Flight Calibration begins at BIA
The flight calibration process commenced at the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) in Devanahalli on Saturday.
The procedure was conducted through a fully equipped Dornier aircraft owned by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) that had arrived at the airport on Friday. The calibration flight is equipped to measure technical parameters related to the Communication, Navigation, Surveillance -- Air Traffic Management (CNS-ATM) equipment, all attached to the ATC.
By Sunday evening, the aircraft is expected to fix the parameters and carry out the calibration process for the navigational aid and landing procedures. Two to three technical officers from AAI will be inside the aircraft testing various equipment.
No power supply today
There will be no power supply in the following areas on March 16 from 10 am to 2 pm.
The following areas will be affected: Peenya IV block, Peenya I phase, Welcast Steels, Officers Model Colony, Aiyyappanagar, Jalahalli Cross, Dasarahalli, Pipe Line, Shettihalli, Kalahastinagar, Ravindranagar and Manyatha Tech Park.
Unscheduled power supply
There will be unscheduled power supply interruption on March 16 between 10 am to 3 pm in the following areas: Heelalige, Ittana Housing, Kammasandra, Vadra Palya, Anathanagar, Kithaganahalli, Banahalli, Kachanayakanahalli Dinne, Henagara, Hosahalli, Masthanahalli and the surrounding villages.
Course on insurance
Bangalore University will offer an degree and post-graduate diploma course in insurance from next academic year. Seats would be allotted after a CET, said Dr B C Sanjeevaiah, coordinator, Department of Management Studies while addressing a seminar on preparing syllabus for the Insurance subject in Bangalore on Saturday.
