Devotees offer Guruvandana
DH News Service, Shanivarasanthe:

Man should imbibe the attitude of living with harmony amidst all kinds of religion, language and culture, said Siddaganga mutt seer Shivakumara Swamiji.

He was delivering a benedictory address at the Guruvandana offered by the Shanivarasanthe unit of Akhila Bharatha Veerashaiva Mahasabha as part of his 101st birth day at Gudugalale grounds here on Saturday.
Humanism is an all-time contribution of prophets to the world. Man should live like a human being and thus establish humanity.

We should not forget the contributions of kings who ruled the country earlier or the seers who were on the earth in the earlier times, he noted.

The statement ‘Time has changed’ has no meaning. World has achieved a lot not only in science and technology but also in each and every field.

This is the time for the rationalists and intellectuals to think about. Human life can be termed ‘progressed’ only when both outside and inside life develops, the seer observed.

Man should become conscious for the success of democracy. Democracy is nothing but all people live happily by knowing their own responsibilities, he added.

Inaugurating the event, former MLA B B Shivappa expressed his worry over the seer not chosen for the greatest recognition of the nation, Bharata Ratna.

Former MLC Mijasuddin delivered a keynote address. Kodlipet Veerashaiva Samaja President K N Vasanth spoke.
