Some unidentified people have decamped with booty worth Rs 45 lakh from a jewellery shop in Hiriyur on Friday night.

Police said that the miscreants had gain entry breaking open the locks  of Vasavi Jewellers and escaped with  3 kg gold and 70 kg silver. Interestin gly, the shop is very close to the police station. As it was raining on Friday nigh t, people had not noticed the miscreants gaining entry into the shop.
