'Dialysis helps lead a better life'
Bangalore, DHNS:

 Nearly 60 patients with kidney diseases and who have undergone over 1,000 dialysis were felicitated by the Dialysis Trust of Karnataka (DTK), a patient organisation supported by nephrologists, on Sunday.

 Five eminent nephrologists in the city, N C Talwakar, Consultant Nephrologist, Bangalore Hospital, Dr Sudarshan Ballal, Head of Nephrology Manipal Hospital, Dr Siddaraju, Consultant Nephrologist Panacea Hospital, Dr Kishore Phadke, Pediatric Nephrologist St John’s Hospital, Dr Sundar Consultant Nephrologist at Mallya Hospital and KANTI were also honored on the occasion.Chief Medical advisor to DTK, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Hiremath said “We wanted to spread the message that dialysis is an option by which people can live a better life.”

A directory of dialysis centres in Karnataka was released by the Director General of Police K Srinivas.
