“There are some invisible forces working behind terrorism. It is the Government’s duty to identify them and if the Government is ready to take action to identify those forces, we are ready, right from the taluk-level to support the Government,” said former minister C M Ibrahim.
Addressing a news conference prior to the State Muslim Board District Convention on Sunday, Mr Ibrahim questioned why the community leaders opt to keep quite everytime there is a terror act.
“There are dialogues and discussions going on at the State and the national-level.
The aspect whether people from Muslim community have been a part of these terror acts or not must be made clear.
This is our country and we all can live in peace only when the country is strong and internally sound,” he added.
Islam rejects terrorism
He explained that Islam does not give scope for terrorism and hence a true and pious Muslim can never be a terrorist.
He said that there have been no instances of a Kannadigas Muslim being a part of such horrendous activities. Yet even when one person out of 1.20 crore people from the State indulges into such an act, all will be put to shame. Hence, he said that a apolitical Muslim Board has been formed to see to it that enough awareness is spread among the muslim so that they do not indulge themselves into such acts.
“It is time to open a portal to have dialogues with all and convey to the world the stand of Islam on terrorism and ban on suicide bombing in Islam and various other aspects that has been spoken in Islam about world peace,” he added.
