Cong candidates elected unopposed in TAPCM polls

  Five members who were supported by the Congress have been elected unopposed to the  administration board of the taluk agricultural produce cooperative and marketing organisation (TAPCMS) . This was announced by the Congress on Sunday at a party meet.

Congress leader M Anijnappa  told the media persons that the election for A ward of TAPCMS was to be held on March 20 but since the nominees supported by the Congress had no competition the elections are not being held.

From the Nandi constituency Murthy, Ramaswamy from Kodenahalli, Chadalpura Narayanswamy from Doddamarali , Lakshmikant and Govindaswamy  from Arur constituency have been elected unopposed.
The congress leaders were confident that the elections that will be held on March 20 for the B ward will also be won by candidates supported by the Congress.

Differences sorted
“The victory of Congress supported candidates is especially important keeping in mind the safe guarding of the farmers interest. Though there were minor difference within the party at the taluk level, they have all been sorted out now. Our focus is now making sure that our party wins the election” said G H Ngaraj.

Former legislator S M Muniappa, Block Congress president Narayanswamy, N Ramesh, S Y Mariappa, G R Srinivas, Chadalpur  Narayanaswamy and other also spoke on the occasion and said that the presidents of the advisory board including senior freedom fighter Venkatkrishnappa and late Bommanahalli Muniappa have left an inspiring legacy that has ensured that board was successful in its development programme and it was necessary that their work continued.

Among the other leaders who were present included Purudagadde Krishnappa, Chikkappaiah, Srinath, Venkatesh, Somshekar and others.
