Mixed response to Krishna's return
DH News Service, Bangalore:
Former CM and newly-appointed Chairman of Election Management and Co-ordination Committee of KPCC, S M Krishna, is arriving in Bangalore on Monday. He is scheduled to land at HAL airport at 11.15 am.

It is for the first time Krishna is arriving after relinquishing his post as Maharashtra Governor. Previously he was planning to enter the State from Belgaum and reach Bangalore by road with much fanfare. But it was changed at the last minute.

A rousing welcome has been planned by his supporters, especially D K Shivakumar, G Parameshwar, Ramalinga Reddy, A Krishnappa and others, near the airport. A roadshow has been organised between the airport and Manipal Hospital and Krishna will be taken in an open jeep.

Thousands of Congress workers from Bangalore city, Bangalore urban, Mandya, Kolar, Tumkur are expected to participate.

Interestingly, there was no plans to welcome Krishna from KPCC side. Sources said the lacklustre response from KPCC to his arrival has made it loud and clear that all is not well in the State party unit.  It is not clear where Krishna will head - KPCC office on Queen’s road or his residence in Sadashivanagar, after his arrival.

When contacted, KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge said he is not informed about the time of Krishna’s arrival. “We are not informed about his time of arrival. So far, we have not organised any function at KPCC office,” he stated.
