Two men done to death
Bangalore, DHNS:

Two cases of murder were reported from Bangalore Rural district in the last 24 hours.

The body of Bilanjanappa (32), a brick factory worker, was found floating in Agara Lake in Talghattapura police station limits on Sunday. Police suspect involvement of Shashi and Kariyanna in the murder. The three had financial dealings and hail from a village near Nelamangala. The duo are absconding. 

In another case, Shivananda (35) was found dead with his head smashed in Hanumanahalli near Harohalli. Shivananda’s neighbour Chandranna and his relatives have been taken into custody.

Techie robbed
On the pretext of giving a lift, a software engineer was stabbed and robbed of his valuables in Mahadevpura police station limits on Sunday night.

Suraj Kumar, a resident of Ramanjanappa Layout, said a cab driver offered him a lift when he was waiting near K R Puram railway station bus stop. After travelling for some distance, the four occupants of the car, including the driver, stabbed him and took away wallet, gold ring, watch and credit/debit cards.

Boy killed
Kiran (7) was run over by a milk van near Nagarbhavi II Block on Sunday. Police said Kiran and his sister had gone to buy milk from a nearby shop.

Woman ends life
A woman committed suicide in J C Nagar in Mahalaxmi Layout police station limits on Sunday. Malarvali (36) had differences with her husband Govindraj and this might have led her to take the extreme step, police said.

Eight held for burglary
The CCB sleuths arrested eight persons on charges of conspiracy to burgle houses on Sunday. On a tip off, the police arrested  Prabhakar (22), Praveen Kumar (21), R Mahesh (20), Vasanthkumar (20), Naveen (21), Kumar (22), Vivek (22) and Munaf (24) at Mallesharam MD Block.

The police recovered lethal weapons. The accused had made a futile bid last week to burgle a house in Malleswaram and break into a scrap shop in Adugodi.

29 arrested
The South East Division police have arrested 29 persons and recovered valuables, including jewellery worth Rs 23.85 lakh. The police solved 34 cases.
