The anganwadi, the foundation of which was laid in July 2007, was built by MRPL under Samrakshan, its CSR initiative. DGM (HR) S K Kadri, taluk panchayat member Vajrakshi Shetty, Chelaieru Panchyat President Annappa, Supervisor of Mangalore Taluk Rural Anganwadies Shobha, Vice President of Chelaieru Panchayat Pushparaj Shetty , President of Pragathi Nagar Development Samithi Balakrishna, President of SKDRDP Madhya Okkuta Dinesh and others were present on the occasion. Around 20 tiny tots  of the area will be the beneficiaries of the anganwadi.

Other ventures
Mr S K Kadri, under Samrakshan handed over an air cooled diesel generator to the District Health Officer Dr Jagannath and Medical Officer of Bantwal Govt Hospital Dr Sudarshan Nayak,  at the Bantwal Govt Hospital.
Also 53 Government Schools around the MRPL Refinery and 16 Schools in Sarpady were gifted with modern scientific teaching aids like Unilab/Olympus microscope, human evolution chart, physiological system models, mathematical kit etc, for the high school students.
