Applications invited
Applications have been invited by the Central Government for ‘Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva’ Award from people who have been working for the welfare of Children and their protection.

Three persons who have rendered valuable service in this regard for over 10 years will be awarded on the August 20, the birthday of Rajiv Gandhi.

The award will carry cash of Rs one lakh and certificate.

A committee formed by the state government to select the eligible candidates for the award will short list the candidates and send it to the central government.

Interested eligible persons from the district may send in their applications ifor the award in a prescribed application format to The Deputy Director, Department of Women and Child Welfare, Zilla Panchayat office, Chikmagalur on or before March 20.
