Zilla Panchayat member A Lokeshkumar inaugurated various works worth Rs 6 lakh under the Employment Guarantee Scheme launched by the Zilla Panchayat in Suntikoppa.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the Employment Guarantee Scheme will benefit the unemployed persons and daily wage earners in the rural areas. Works will be implemented as per the demands of the public, he added. Gram Panchayat President K E Kareem, Secretary K J Mallikarjuna and Engineer Fayuz Ahmed participated. Under the scheme, works like drainage construction, protection wall and other works are being undertaken, they informed.
