President  of district Kannada Sahitha Parishat Sadanand said that the Zilla Kannada Sahitya Sammelana will be held in the month of April.

He was speaking at the preparatory meet organised by the Zilla Sahitya Sammelana at the Taluk Panchayat  auditorium. He also added that to ensure tha success of the meet there had  to be cooperation among all including party leaders, NGO and Kannada Sahitha Parishat .

Since this would be the first time that the meet will be held in the town, he asked literary giants of the region to direct the programme to make it memorable.

The date for the Sammelana will be announced in the near future and after a meet of all the Kannada Sahitha Parishat  presidents the president of the sammelana will be chosen.

Taluk Kannada Sahitha Parishat  president Govindaraju also spoke on the occasion and said that the estimated cost of the programme is Rs 4 lakhs.

Various committees have also been set up to ensure that there are no hicupps and everything is smooth sailing.

The mentor of the programme will be MP  S Mallikarjunaiaha and all the former legislators will also pitch in to help.

The welcome committee is headed by TMC president C T Varadaraju, Finance committee  president will be headed by  T P president Sharada Seetaramaiaha, Utsav committee will be headed by C B Renuka Swamy, food committee by  by C D Chandrashekar, cultural committee by Prof Prakash.

M V Narajarao who also spoke on the occasion said that all should towards making the programme a grand success.
