Madhugiri Educational Institution Secretary R C Vijayakumar opined that service should become a way of life, not just passion.
He was speaking at the Founder’s Day celebration and 90th birth anniversary of T V Venkataswamy here on Saturday. T V Venkataswamy, the founder of Madhugiri Educational Institution had not forgotten his roots though he made it big in cities. He started the first grade college in 1977. The institute has grown leaps and bounds and is serving thousands of students, he added. He also praised the role of retired principal T N Srikantamurthy in shaping the institute.
President of the institution M V Srinivas inaugurated the event. Administrator Rajanna, former TMC president D G Shankaranarayana Shetty, Treasurer M S Dharmaveer, Director Govindareddy and others spoke on the occasion. Industrialist G C Veerashekharappa, H Mahadev and Kusuma Srinivas were present.
Lecturer Sujata welcomed the gathering. Kamala Narasimha compered the programme.
