The second PU exams that commenced on Monday saw a turn out of 4893 students as against the 5043 students who had enrolled for the exam in the district. There were no reports of cheating or copying from the centres.
The second PU exams are being held in the 15 centres of the district. Different exams where held for the students belonging to different combination. In the chemistry exam that was held on Monday nearly 2448 students from the current year and 600 students from the previous year took the exam. While 109 students where absent for the exam. For commerce students it was Business Studies exam where 2448 from the current year and 410 from the past year took the exam. While 41 of them were absent for the exam, said PU Education Board Deputy Director Rudramuni.
Tight security has been provided to all the exam centres in the district and a healthy environment has also been created to benefit the students who write the exams, he added.
One debarred
A student was debarred in Kolar for the allegedly involving in the malpractice during the exam.
