Before the city went under the grip of change and became a software hub, the people were happy, not much rise in the prices of land, house taxes. Hotel food was also not so costly, hospital bills, water & electricity charges were minimum etc., etc..
Look at what has happened to Bangalore now. Of course, there is a tremendous improvement compared to the last 15 years and now. But, this change has brought a burden to the ordinary citizens by way of various taxes. Now, to add injury to insult, the government is introducing Capital Value System of property tax in Bengaluru.
Change is welcome. But sudden ideas by the government authorities by more tax, increment of road tax, transportation tax, this tax that tax, Bruhat Bengaluru Tax, bringing more & more surrounding Bangalore area into Corporation and making a way of tax, heavy electrical billing, water billing, etc., is making the citizen poorer and poorer. If you don't have money to get medical help even in the government hospitals (because the doctors are corrupt), you will have to part with your kidney at a cheaper rate in the name of getting treatment for your stomach pain (by the time you realize that your kidney is gone, it will be too late).
This is all because of the mindless Mayors, the people in the government authorities and leaders, who have not thought about the income of the public and have not thought of making proper use of the available funds, because it is not sufficient to fill their stomachs & pockets. Many of them are corrupt.
It is high time public woke up and stoped these atrocities.
