Smuggler killed in encounter
Gulbarga, DHNS: A smuggler was killed and another injured in an encounter with the forest officials in the Kunchavaram forest area of Chincholi taluk in the district on late Sunday night. Six forest officials were also injured.

APMC yard’s gesture to mutt
Bangalore, DHNS: Traders, commission agents and brokers of the Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) yard at Yeshwantpur have pooled in Rs 20 lakh to aid the Siddaganga Mutt near Tumkur in its feeding activities. The seer, Shivakumara Swamiji, will visit the City on March 21 to receive the gift in person.
