Water adalat on March 20
The BWSSB is organising a water adalat (North 3) sub-division to settle disputes connected to water billing, delay in water and sanitary connection etc, on Thursday, March 20 from 9.30 am to 11 am at the office of the assistant executive engineer at R T Nagar.

    Disputes of customers under jurisdiction of Sanjay Nagar, Yelahanka and R T Nagar service station limits will be heard and settled at the adalat.

Choral song toppers
AIR Bangalore area choral music groups have won the 1st and 2nd places at the Annual Choral Music Competition for Children for the year 2007 and 2008.

The children’s group representing Seshadripuram Higher Primary School, Yelahanka secured the 1st prize under Junior category, while the Kumaran Children’s Home Tatasilk Farm’s Choral group was chosen for the 2nd prize in the senior category. The award presentation will be held in Mumbai on April 7.

Bio-science fest from March 19
Bangalore University and the three National Science Academies (Allahabad, Bangalore and New Delhi) are jointly organising a lecture workshop ‘Frontier Lectures in Biology’ on 19 and 20 March , 2008.

Distinguished scientists from the IISc, NIMHANS are expected to deliver lectures on topics of contemporary relevance.

Quiz competition winners
Ms Sai Harshini, student of National College, Bangalore has won the first prize to become the VTT ‘Scholar for the year 2007-08, in a recently held quiz competition, with the theme ‘Into the Future with Knowledge from Our Past’. Ms Madhuri P of Mount Carmel College was the runner-up in the quiz competition.
