SonicWall Network Security Appliance
SonicWall announced the SonicWall Network Security appliance (NSA) series for mid sized business. The highlight in the NSA series is multi-function network security, which does not compromise on network performance or manageability. The NSA series enables IT administrators to perform secure and have better control over network activities.
The NSA series platform uses multiple processing cores to dramatically increase throughput and enables inspection capabilities, while keeping power consumption nearly constant, and provides lower total cost of ownership. The series deploys combination of SonicWall’s patented reassembly free DPI and purpose built multi-core acceleration hardware. The NSA series features includes intrusion prevention, advanced file, content anti-virus or anti-spyware inspection to protect against a wide array of network attacks including, viruses, spyware, worms, Trojans and phishing attacks. Other service offerings included in the NSA series come with Sonicwall Clean VPN, Standards based VoIP, secure distributed WLAN services, advanced routing services, network features and a global management system.
RAID Series 5
Adaptec announced the RAID Series 5 Unified Serial controller family. The Adaptec RAID solution offers up to 28-port connectivity, with 24 internal and four external ports support to achieve I/O performance. The Series 5 has controllers, which can be connected to SATA/SAS drives and to single system, providing 200TB of storage capacity.
Adaptec RAID Series 5 Unified Serial controllers supports more than 300 third-party systems, storages devices and connects with multiple operating systems. The other feature in the Series 5 family is a menu-driven tool — the Adaptec Storage ManagerTM (ASM), that facilitates control and configuration of local and remote browser, across the network from a single console.
