Tumkur, DHNS: The Morarji Desai residential school of Hoovinakatte at Chelur Hobli in Gubbi taluk has invited applications for the entrance examination for those who want to get admitted to 6th standard for the present academic year.

‘Inferior quality asphaltation’
Tumkur,DHNS: The as phaltaion process being done under the supervision of Town Panchayat of Gubbi is of low quality, accused the district BJP Secretary H T Bhairappa here.

The road from Gubbi bus stand to Rayavara is of very inferior quality and if it rains, all works gets shattered.
This matter is not taken into notice by any offcer and has urged the Deputy Commissioner to investigate into the matter, else a strong protest will be held, they warned.

Youth strangled to death
Bangalore, DHNS: A youth was strangled to death in Kempegowda Nagar in the Vidyaranayapura police station limits on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Sridhar. Police said, Ramesh Babu, Sridhar, Praveen and Raja were working for Devaraj, a carpenter.

The four-some were residing in a rented house. Sridhar and Ramesh Babu were in the habit of quarrelling frequently.

On the ill-fated day when Praveen and Raja had gone out to attend a marriage, Ramesh allegedly strangled Sridhar to death and vanished, the police said.

The incident came to light when Praveen and Raja returned home.

Two die in mishap
Bangalore, DHNS:Two middle-aged men riding a motorcycle died on the spot after a tanker truck rammed into their vehicle on Outer Ring Road near ASR Kalayan Mantap on Tuesday morning.

The deceased are Muniswamy (58) and Palani (45), residents of Thippasandra.

They were heading towards Hebbal and the accident.
