The role of women is extremely important and inevitable in every sphere of the society. Woman’s play a significant role in every aspect of life also, expressed State BJP Mahila Morcha President Bharathi Shetty.

She was speaking at a programme organised by the BJP Mahila Morcha in Someshwara Palya at T M Hanumappa Hall, on Tuesday, to mark the International Women’s Day celebrations.

The BJP government had implemented various developmental programmes for the benefit of women.

When compared to other parties, the number was programmes implemented by the BJP was the highest, she added.

Ms Bharathi Shetty said, women should come forward and prove their ability and talent.

They should become independent and display self-confidence in all their endeavours.

Also, they should come forward to fight against the exploitation and atrocities   faced by the women, she added.
