The book award presentation (for the year 2007) and book release ceremony of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy will be convened at Town Hall in the City at 4.30 pm on March 20, stated a release.

‘Posa Osar’ of Shashiraj Rao Kavoor (Tulu poetry) and ‘Sarvajnana Vachanolu’ of B B Majibailu (translation) have won the book awards.

Litterateur Erya Lakshminarayana Alva will present the awards. Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president Harikrishna Punaroor will release the books published by the academy. Following are the titles of the books and their authors:

Paddanolu (Menar), Tulu Yakshagana (K Anantharama Bangady), Karnataka Ekikarana Chaluvali: Tulunadina Koduge (Prof Tukaram Poojary), Eduru Kathekulu (Jayanthi S Bangera), Gadelu (Jyothi S Chelyaru), Kabitelu (Dr Rajashree), Subraya Bhat (Jayanthi), Tulu Paddanolu (Dr Ganesh Amin Sankamar), Tulu Samskrutida Polabu (Dr Palthady Ramakrishna Achar), Tuluta Katha Samskruthi (Dr Vishwanatha Badikana), Janapada Nalikelu (D Yadupathi Gowda) and K B Bhandary (Dr Vaman Nandavara).

Veteran writer Bola Chittaranjan Das will be the chief guest. Academy President M K Seetharam Kulal will preside.
