“This being said, I would like to say that as long as China and India have sincerity... new progress will be made in the negotiations,” Wen said at the ending session of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) meet here.
India and China had reached an agreement on ‘Political Parameters and Guiding Principles’ in April 2005 to settle the border dispute. Representatives of the two countries have held 11 rounds of talks so far until February 2008. In an agreement signed between India and China during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit in January this year, both sides agreed that representatives shall complete at an early date the task of arriving at an agreed framework.
