Every year, on account of the festival, the Brahmarathotsava will be held under the supervision of the government.
Devotees from all over the State such as Mysore, Bangalore, Kolar and others will participate in the famous car festival of Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy.
The Brahmorathotsava will be held at 1 pm, before which various religious programmes will be held.
The most awaited ‘Yathradhana Utsava’ will be organised by Pancharatna Madali at 12 pm, after which annasantharpane programme will be held, added the press release.
Various religious programmes will continue till March 21, some rituals being - Soorya Mandalotsava, Bellipallakki Utsava, Ashwa Vahanotsava, Theerthasnana Utsava, Uyyalotsava and other religious programmes will also be held.
Daily rituals
Daily various programmes such as ‘Abhishekha’ and other rituals will be held till the fair concludes.
However on Thursday, no religious programme except Brahmarathotsava will be held.
Buses
Special buses have been arranged for the benefit of devotees by the KSRTC from Tumkur and Bangalore for the Brahmarathotsava, said Deputy Commissioner S R Umashankar.
