A film on the Nithari killings, titled D-5, which is awaiting clearance from the Censor Board, is already mired in controversy. Karandeep Pandher, son of the accused Moninder Singh Pandher, has sought a stay on the release of the film.
Karandeep has sought permanent injunction restraining the permission, production and release of the film on the ground that its release would cause obstruction in the dispensation of justice. The film is reported to have been inspired by the gruesome rape and killings of minor girls inside House No D-5 at Noida owned by Moninder Singh.
