Seminar on March 22
A Seminar on ‘Challenges of Dalit and pro-women associations in the present scenario’ has been organised on March 22 at Gubbi Veeranna Kalakshetra, said co-ordinator of Dalit’s social and cultural research centre Chelur Venkatesh at a press meet here. Also women activist Dr Samatha B Deshamane’s book ‘Jnanajyothi Savithriba phule’ will be released, he added.

Problems faced by women and dalits in the society will be the main focus point in the seminar and famous personalities will participate in it, he said. Those who attend the seminar as resource persons include Basavamahalinga Swami, Basavamurthy Madarachennaiah Mahaswami, Basavanagideva Sharana, Sardar Sevalal Swami, Immadi Siddarama Swami, poet K B Siddaiah, DSS State President N Murthy, leaders of various political parties P G R Sindhya, former MP G S Basavaraju, former MLA’s K N Rajanna, K S Kiran Kumar, S R Srinivas, Thimmarayappa and others.

Personality development camp
Personality development camp has been organised for children on April 16 to 20 at Naveen Estate at Namada Chilume by Sri Shantinikethan Education Trust and Sri Basavalinga Swami, said a release. Sai Ram Bhajan on March 23
Sai Ram Bhanjan has been organised on the occasion of inauguration of Sri Anjeneya Swamy temple installation of the idol in Shettyhalli on the outskirts of Tumkur on March 23 at 7.30 pm, said Mahadevaiah. Dignitaries P Krishna Bhat, Tumkur District and Session Judge and Dr P S Harsha, District Superindent of Police will particpate, he added.
